TEACHER’S TRAINING
‘Education is not the amount of information that is put in your brain, and run riots there, undigested all your life. We must have life building, character making assimilation of ideas’. We do believe in and make sure that the teachers attend professional skill development programs in different subjects. To sharpen the teaching skills our teachers participate in various training programs organized by CBSE (Capacity Building Programs), Sahodaya Complex, different publishers and organizers.

SUBJECT ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY
• Enrichment makes something more meaningful, substantial and rewarding.
• To strengthen English Vocabulary Skills SSES arrange special coaching classes for IX-XII by Mr. Musthafa (Language Trainer) and Baseline assessment tests.
• To identify and recognize students with high intellect and skills SSES arranged a coaching session for X std students on NTSE by Mr. CV Kunjabdulla

The Launch Pad:An initiative to make sure that the students reach the premier institutions once they complete class XII from our school. This integrated program provides special coaching and training to students from class VII onwards.

Character Pilots:This is a program designed for the students of class VIII. Students are selected according to their interest and ability. They will be given training and camps that mould leadership capacity. This will help them become leaders at every walk of life.

QURANLAB Inauguration: Qlab is well equipped with advanced Montessori methodology. It will help the students learn Arabic and Quran in easier way. The lab was developed in collaboration with Understand Quran Academy Hyderabad. Inauguration was done by Usthad Mansoor Ali Dharimi

ORIENTATION CLASSES:Successful orientation classes provides learning experiences that help students/parents/teachers understand and make adaptations to change
“Learn To Learn” Training: Mr Musthafa ,an innovative trainer conducted a “Learn to learn” life skill training session for xth students &teachers which proved really enlightening in general.

  • Career guidance classes for Secondary and Senior Secondary by Nisam & Mr.Iqbal
  • Training session on Gangism by Mr. NV Kabeer
  • Happy parenting: Parents of secondary section were given an elaborate talk by Mr. Nizar to coach them about young minds.
  • Antidrug day awareness by Mr. Fakrudhun Panthavoor
  • Health awareness classes : Health related issues are important. Mr. Joby, &Dr. Deepa (CHC Pavaratty) conducted a health awareness class and talked about how prevention is better than
  • Learning Disability training: To facilitate our inclusive policy of education a thorough learning disability camp was conducted for teachers,parents&students by Mr.Hashim (Spell, Kodungallur). Selected students and their parents were given further training to improve their activities.
  • ATMA leadership Training: To improve their leadership skills, students were escorted to the ATMA Leadership training session by Mr. Yatheesh Chandra at Pushpanjali Auditorium Thrissur.
  • Students Solar Ambassador workshop: St. Thomas College organized Students Solar Ambassador Our students attended the same in large numbers and were able to make solar lamp
  • Healthy Food Tips : Mr.Nazeem is a local chief and he excels in healthy and fast cooking .He conducted a demonstration for parents and teachers separately.                                                                                                              OTHER PROGRAMMES
  • Merit Day: The students have performed well in Board Exams and were honored. Chief Guest was Mr.Mohd Abdul Jaleel (2018 IAS rank holder).He motivated students by sharing his academic experiences
  • Readers’Day: To enrich the reading habits of students Readers club arranged quiz, skit, documentary show.
  • Yoga and Music day: To celebrate Health & Music together and bring forth the value of both, the International  Yoga and Music day was celebrated by Sports Club with a wonderful Yoga & Music treat.
  • Basheer Day:The death anniversary of the famous writer Vaikkom Mohammed Basheer was commemorated and way under the leadership of Malayalam department
  • School Parliament: Investiture ceremony was held on August 6 with Mr.Faizal as the chief guest (ISHO Pavaratty). Master Farooq Jafer was elected as School Captain.
  • Colours day: To feel the beauty and happiness of rainbow our primary kids celebrated colours day!
  • Field Trips: To provide the students an opportunity to connect classroom concepts in real life, to see ne things and learn about them in more informal way. SSES has organized field trips to various places like Vinjan Sagar, SEBI Kaloor, IIM Calicut.
  • Pi Day: Pi approximation Day was celebrated in a wonderful manner by arranging special assembly, pi talk, competitions like quiz,story, rhymes… under the leadership of Maths club members
  • Karkkidaka Fest: To impart the importance of Karkkidaka Month, Health Club arranged Karkkidaka Exhibition.
  • Sahodaya-Cluster Kabaddi & Kho-Kho: Our students participated in the Sahodaya, Cluster Kabaddi & Kho-Kho Championship. Boys team won third place in Sahodaya & Cluster Kabaddi Championship
  • Gandhi week observance:A Clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahathma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary in 2019.The campaign aims to achieve the vision of clean India’. As a part of it Sports and Health club arranged some activities like Water conservation expo, Swachhata shapath, Personal Hygiene Day, Hand Wash Day, Awareness Classes on Good health & Community outreach,Honouring ceremony of Mr.Sachin, Mr.Joshy.
  • Letter to Mom :In connection with International Postal Day SSES has conducted a competition  “A Letter To Mom”. Each student shared their love & respect to their mom through this letter.The first wealth is health. Our school continuously strives to provide a healthy environment is conducive to excellent teaching and learning. As a part of it an eye camp was organized school by Dhrishyam Eye Care .
  • Track Beats 2019: Annual sports day was held on 13-16 November 2019, with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere.
  • Dhanak 2019 :School Arts Fest Dhanak 2019 gave the students a platform to show their wonderful talents a raise theirlevel of confidence.
  • Plastic Challenge Participation To create an eco-friendly campus, Sports club started Cloth Bag revolution.
  • Palliative care day: As a part of palliative care day, Secondary section students participated in a Procession under the theme ‘Helping Hand To Others’
  • Book Exhibition: Book Exhibition was organized for the students by Thrissur Book House to get an opportunity to browse through the interesting collection on display and to select books of their choice
  • Sports Expo:As a part of National Sports day August 29, Sports club arranged Sports EXPO 2019
  • SSES and Social Activism SSES team prepares students to be a part of the social issues. We collected food from the students and it was distributed by them to the needy at Guruvayoor. Our students contributed many stationary things for the kids who were by floods.these activities.
  • Club Of Letter: Our Students of VIII std had interacted with Mr. Ibrahim Pazhayannoor (Journalist) on the negative and positive influence of media on the new generation.
  • School Protection Group:As part of taking initiative to ensure the safety of children by action against illegal activities and sale of illicit articles in the vicinity, SSES formed SPG. Mr.Suresh Kumar Preventive Officer, Chavakkad (Excise Department) led the session.

  • Fit India Movement: Hon’ble Prime minister of India has launched the Fit India Movement on 29 August 2019 with a view to make Physical Fitness a way of life. Fit India Movement aims at behavioral changes from sedentary lifestyle to physically active way of day to day living. As a part of this SSES Health and Sports club conducted several activities like Yoga Assembly, Mental Fitness Activities, Poster making & Essay writing competition on Fit India in School.
  • FM RADIO programme:Our students were also lucky to get an awareness on good touch and bad touch by Dr. Geethu Ramdas of RED FM.

  • Scholarship Exams & Quiz: Participated in Manorama BIG Q quiz, Discovery School super league, Science Olympiad, Food day quiz at Mannuthy Agriculture university, Fortune IAS Academy Quiz, Model United Nations Conference at Devamatha , Lingua Faunta English Language Fest, MTSE, Ujjwal Prathiba, Gandhi quiz, ELPSE, Spellathon competition by The Hindu Health Quiz and Essay on Malaria by CHC, Mullassery Aleena &Amra secured first prize in Essay competition.
